Rockpool Studios was appointed by development managers Marcon to provide detailed architectural documentation and consultant coordination for Construction Certificate approval and construction of The Drifter Byron Bay.
Working within a tight programme, our role focused on resolving complex structural, accessibility, fire, acoustic, mechanical, hydraulic and certification challenges to help facilitate the successful delivery of this landmark Byron Bay hotel. The project included DDA upgrades, a new principal entrance with lift and accessible access, additional bathrooms, a new pool within the existing central courtyard and works that enabled the approved occupancy to increase from 260 to 320 beds.
Our involvement demonstrates Rockpool Studios' expertise in detailed documentation, Class 3 compliance, consultant coordination and delivering complex hospitality projects through the approvals and construction process.
