This terrace in Paddington required a major renovation and it had the unusual challenge of having the stair on the opposite side of the house to the front door. This created an opportunity for a light well with an internal window where the hall would normally be – adding visual depth to a very small footprint. We also employed a bit of spatial gymnastics to squeeze a powder room and laundry under the stair and kitchen.
