Byron Bay Mixed Use Development

2026 - Currently in council awaiting development approval

As Byron Bay continues to evolve, exceptional architecture plays an increasingly important role in shaping the character of its town centre. This mixed-use development on Jonson Street contributes to a distinctly Byron Bay interpretation of tropical modernism, drawing inspiration from Southeast Asian architecture while responding to the local climate, landscape and coastal lifestyle.

Designed by Rockpool Studios, the development combines a vibrant commercial frontage with seven luxury residential apartments, a private residence and basement parking. The project demonstrates how contemporary mixed-use architecture can increase urban density while respecting the scale, materiality and relaxed character that define Byron Bay.
